ALL ABOUT CAMPING AT THE PRESIDIO

What?

The trip consists of observational skills, group team building games, short halaqa talks, environmental stewardship, outdoor campfire, hiking and many more fun activities.

Where?

Golden Gate National Park’s Rob Hill Campground is the only overnight campsite in San Francisco. Rob Hill is known as a hidden treasure, located at the Presidio’s highest point overlooking Baker Beach in a grove of eucalyptus trees.

Why?

Urban youth today are more disconnected than ever from the natural world. In response to this need, this annual camp offers youth the opportunity to become aware of the Oneness of God, seeing signs of Him everywhere, being a steward of the earth, to honor the trust we have in Him, learn what it means to be the protectors of the planet, to move toward justice and living in balance with nature in a safe yet and beautiful environment.

Who?

This trip is open to Northstar school middle school students, alumni, older siblings, parent chaperones and teachers. This camp will be facilitated by Haseeb Sadat and Michelle Lee.

When?

We will be camping for three days and two nights. Departure: Friday, March 13th at 9 am; Return: Sunday, March 15th at 11am.

If you have additional questions or concerns please contact Michelle Lee at michelle@northstarschool.org.
